Hugo – A Life on Foot
A moving tale about an artist

For a clown, the dream of making people laugh and loneliness are like light and shade for the day. Hugo stumbles through his everyday life. He is in love. But alas! Only the portrait of his love that sits in his room knows. Then comes his beloved’s fall from the tightrope, and he carries her for the last time out of the ring. Hugo turns his back on the circus. In spite of that, his suicide attempts turn into a clown act. Travel beckons. Heading out into the world, Hugo encounters dogs, children, prostitutes, and lovers – but, above all, he encounters himself.

A humorous and sentimental foot theater story played by Anne Klinge, who has traveled the world with her inimitable foot theater.
