Varieté Olymp A love story, a murder, a whodunit with puppets
There’s a whole lot of action here. What happens when you cross theater with circus? When you bring a loose succession of artistic acts from the ring to the stage? You get vaudeville – a place that conjures up a pleasant aura of disreputability at the mere mention of it.
Twenty years have passed since the tragic events surrounding Martha Lecoeuer, star of Varieté Olymp, took place, including her numerous liaisons and the suspected murder of her daughter. The artists of yore are now once again reunited on stage: the clown, the magician, the singer – but the dark scars of the past have left their mark on everyone. As the audience delights in the entertainment, things come to a head backstage.
