The secrets of a BIG BOX

On stage there is a big box: A huge package. What all could be in there? A phone booth? A workshop? An elevator? A spaceship…?  All of a sudden there are street lights growing out of the box. A tiny conductor slides across the stage and gives the beat. A couple is dancing. A dog leash pulls the hat from the head. Then the big box tips over. And what happens then?

The duo florschütz & döhnert always has a knack for surprises in their theatre pieces. And sometimes you are just not sure who is moving whom over there. In any case, this big box is more than just a box. It reveals a totally different, new world – a world of poetry. With just a few means, a magical stage emerges before our eyes, inviting our big and small visitors to smile and be amazed.
