The two were still sitting comfortably at dinner together, now she has to get ready for the big trip: “Well then…” But the “Tschüss”, “Ciao”, “Good-bye” are not all that easy. Anything is welcome to delay the farewell a bit longer. Time and again new stories come to mind. With a lot of humor and slapstick, ADIO tells about the many different types of goodbyes: The little ones – “Be right back” – and the big ones – “I’m really going to miss you!” A moving theater piece about leaving, anticipating seeing each other once again, and the desire to go out into the world and discover new things.

“A wealth of wonderful ideas take the stage via object theater, pantomime, and performance. Carla Wierer also adds an atmospheric sound collage. Through the interplay of roles and settings, all it takes is a few hand gestures and light changes and you have major theater in miniature. A sophisticated but also very sentimental piece for children aged 4+ that walks the line between comedy and light melancholy…” Marion Klötzer, Badische Zeitung, 2017
